Sage Timeslips offers a variety of data services. Whether you need to convert your data from an older product or are splitting or merging your data as your business develops, simply choose from an array of data services, depending on what your specific needs are. Options include:

Data Recovery

Any database, no matter how stable or secure, is susceptible to data corruption. Additional information about the causes of data corruption can be found in our Knowledgebase. Most errors can be resolved by following the steps outlined in our FAQ documents. Sometimes, data issues will require specific processes to repair. If you experience corruption in your database that cannot be repaired by restoring a recent database backup or by executing Data Verification, you should contact Sage Timeslips Technical Support. If the problem cannot be resolved over the telephone, your technician will assist you in submitting your database for repairs. Our experienced data services technicians have a very high rate of success in recovering corrupted data and will work to see that your data is carefully, securely, and quickly repaired.

Our data recovery rates are very competitive—usually far less than that of third-party services.

The Sage Timeslips Data Services team uses the Data Verification tool to determine whether your case is a Help Alert or a Standard Data Service case. Most Help Alert cases can be resolved remotely without sending your data to us. If your case requires that your data be sent to us, the timeframes for the Standard and Express Data Services will be in effect.

*When Sage Timeslips Data Services receives the customer's valid data and the signed and completed Data Submission Agreement, the timeframe for all services will start on the next available business day. The Sage Timeslips Data Services department will make every effort to adhere to these timeframes. In some cases, the amount of corruption or size of the database to be converted may alter theses expectations. Express Recovery Service cases held longer than five business days will change to Standard Recovery Service and Charges.

Return shipping costs are also added to the total cost of the service and are nonrefundable. Sales taxes apply to conversion services for all states, territories, and others.

Conversion Services

Sage Timeslips includes the tools necessary to convert your database from prior versions of the product. If you'd like assistance, conversion services for upgrading existing Sage Timeslips customers are available if you have an older PC Windows, DOS, or MAC version of Sage Timeslips and would like to submit your database for conversion to a newer or the latest version. Any data corruption revealed during the conversion process may delay the return of your converted Sage Timeslips database.

For customers using a product other than Sage Timeslips interested in the possibility of converting your database to the latest version of Sage Timeslips, please contact a Sage Timeslips Certified Consultant in your area.

Sage Timeslips will only convert data to a currently supported version of Sage Timeslips.

Upgrade Conversion Services

Database Split Services

In the professional services industry, it's not uncommon for organizations to merge, while others split apart. If your company is splitting, Sage Timeslips can electronically split your current Sage Timeslips database into two or more organizations. Having us perform the split saves each company the time it takes to create a new database and transfer information by hand.

Return shipping costs are also added to the total cost of the service and are nonrefundable. Sales taxes apply to services. Each split will be shipped to the appropriate party with a separate shipping charge.

An evaluation fee will be incorporated into the cost of splitting the database. Pricing is based on service of a corruption-free database. Any data repairs are billed in addition to split charges. Data Corruption issues may also delay return. Rates are subject to change. If you are interested in these services, please contact our Data Services Department. A Data Services Representative will reply to your office with information regarding the process.

Database Merge Services

In the professional services industry, it's not uncommon for organizations to merge, while others split apart. If your companies are merging, Sage Timeslips can electronically merge your current Sage Timeslips databases into one database. Having us perform the merge saves each organization the time it takes to create custom reports and templates to adequately combine important information or transfer information by hand.

Return shipping costs are also added to the total cost of the service and are nonrefundable. Sales taxes apply to conversion services.

Pricing is based on service of a corruption-free database. Any data repairs are billed in addition to merge charges. Data Corruption issues may also delay return. Rates are subject to change. If you are interested in these services, please contact our Data Services Department. A Data Services Representative will reply to your office with information regarding the process.

How to Submit Data

All data submitted to the Sage Timeslips Data Services Department must be preauthorized. If you want to submit your data to this department, either e-mail your inquiry to Data Services or contact Technical Support for a Data Services Authorization (DSA) form.

Media Accepted
We accept data on 3 1/2" Floppy (5 disk limit), 100 or 250 MB Zip disk, CD, DVD, USB, and by FTH.

Electronic Transfer
We also accept data through our FTP server for repairs or Sage Timeslips conversions (Mac Conversions are not accepted). Once we receive your completed DSA form returned by fax, we will send instructions for this format. No data will be accepted without a DSA form previously submitted.

Returned Data
All data is returned on CD. Original submitted disks are not returned. All data is held for two weeks to provide a timeframe for possible issues then removed and/or destroyed.
